The wooded mountain of Tapalpa is the ideal getaway destination from the daily life routine. In this location, PE House provides a space to improve the life quality of two families and generates a social interaction during the weekends. The project consists of a main cabin, game cabin, service cabin, shooting range, paddle court and an orchard.
One of the main concepts of the design is the relationship with the forest, topography and richness of vegetation. The architectural elements that embody the house are carefully situated in order to preserve as many pre-existing trees as possible, creating a series of patios and gardens that merge the vegetation and surroundings with the living spaces inside the house. The volumes which encompass the house are facing the lake, connecting the forest, lake and garden, through a series of openings that alternate between framing inside and outside views.
